About the role
You will become the definitive expert on the CFO, controller, and bookkeeper personas, rigorously extracting insights from existing customers and prospective adopters to define the future of finance operations. You will develop a clear and defensible point of view on how software can dramatically improve finance workflows in the current status quo while simultaneously reimagining the strategic role those workflows will play in an increasingly agent-driven future. Working in close collaboration with a small, high-caliber team of engineers, you will drive the delivery of high-quality features with both speed and exceptional taste. You will partner directly with the Sales organization to build a user-informed roadmap and proactively unblock high-value enterprise deals. You will fully own the end-to-end success of the Enterprise Finance product suite, encompassing strategy, design, customer adoption, and revenue for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Expense Management, and Accounting Integrations. This role demands a relentless focus on customer outcomes and the ability to translate complex financial workflows into intuitive, scalable product solutions.

What you'll do
Fully own the roadmap, strategy, and product metrics for Slash's Enterprise Finance product suite across all core modules.
Distill actionable insights from customer interviews, conference interactions, and industry research, and proactively synthesize findings to shape product strategy and team decision-making.
Drive product adoption and usage through close partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams, ensuring alignment on go-to-market execution.
Stay ahead of emerging finance industry trends and advancements in AI to proactively inform the long-term product vision and strategic roadmap.
Build and manage relationships with external vendors and ecosystem partners to ensure seamless integration and value delivery.
Define and own the end-to-end user experience for Accounts Receivable, including invoice creation, delivery, payment collection, and reconciliation processes.
Design and implement robust invoicing tools, real-time AR aging dashboards, and automated collections workflows to optimize cash flow.
Take ownership of the end-to-end user experience for Accounts Payable, covering bill ingestion, processing, scheduled and recurring payments, and approval workflows.
Oversee vendor onboarding and management, as well as integrated procurement capabilities to strengthen the AP ecosystem.
Champion the definition and enforcement of expense management policies, empowering finance leaders to govern spend across large organizations.
Deliver features such as receipt capture, multi-layer approval workflows, and a flexible low-code policy engine tailored for discerning CFOs.
Enable business owners and finance teams to categorize and manage transactions through intuitive, AI-driven workflows that accelerate time-to-close.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data during integration with ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Xero, and other leading platforms.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex business requirements into clear product specifications and user stories for engineering.
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities for differentiation and new feature prioritization.
Requirements
You bring 3+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of owning complex financial workflows.
You exhibit exceptionally high agency, seeing what needs to be done and executing on it without waiting for explicit direction or approval.
You possess strong organizational skills with extreme attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial contexts and data integrity.
You demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are a bar-setter for quality who cares deeply about delivering consistent, high-quality product experiences that meet rigorous standards.
You have strong product instincts and a holistic approach to design, crafting intuitive user interfaces and seamless UX patterns.
You are comfortable leveraging AI prototyping tools such as Replit, Claude Code, and Cursor, alongside industry-standard design and product management tools like Figma, Linear, and Notion.
You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities and adapting quickly to changing business needs.
You are comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and executive leadership to drive initiatives forward.
You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and are capable of using analytics to validate product performance and guide iterations.
You are based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Office, adhering to the in-office work model five days a week.

Prior experience operating in a fast-paced startup environment where agility and rapid iteration are essential.
Proven ability to build products from concept to scale, navigating the journey from 1 to 100 efficiently.
Hands-on experience leading projects end-to-end, guiding initiatives from initial idea through design, MVP development, iterative improvement, and revenue generation.
Background in building financial, payments, or enterprise software products, with a deep understanding of the domain complexities.
Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles and providing high-touch customer support to ensure smooth adoption and retention.
