Key facts
What you'll do
Conduct user research and synthesize findings to identify pain points, opportunities, and patterns that inform product strategy.
Translate business objectives and technical requirements into clear product requirements and compelling design narratives.
Develop user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to explore concepts and validate ideas with stakeholders and users.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and marketing to ensure design alignment.
Create high-fidelity mockups and visual designs that adhere to brand standards and enhance usability across web and mobile platforms.
Define and contribute to the evolution of a design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all products.
Lead design critiques and present concepts to leadership and stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions.
Perform usability testing and analyze user feedback to iterate on designs and improve the user experience continuously.
Partner with data teams to establish metrics and analyze user behavior, using insights to drive design improvements.
Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback to elevate the overall quality of the design output.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to bring innovative ideas into the design process.
Own the visual design of new features and products, ensuring a cohesive and delightful user experience.
Collaborate with developers during implementation to ensure designs are executed accurately and maintain design integrity.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools to enhance design workflows and create more personalized user experiences.
Champion accessibility and inclusive design principles to ensure products are usable by the widest possible audience.
Requirements
A minimum of 1 year of experience in product design within a SaaS environment, with a focus on both mobile and web applications.
Demonstrated ability to balance user requirements with business objectives and technical constraints effectively.
Strong understanding of visual design principles and their application in web and mobile interfaces.
Familiarity with user research techniques, accessibility standards, and conventions in mobile design.
Proficient in design tools such as Figma.
Experience with AI tools like Claude or Paper is a plus.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
Ability to contribute to project requirements with minimal oversight, consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines.
High emotional intelligence (EQ) to navigate team dynamics and user interactions effectively.
A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership of complex design challenges.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design assets.
Willingness to collaborate closely with distributed teams across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
Passion for creating user-centered designs that solve real-world problems.
Nice to have
Experience in contributing to the development and implementation of a design system would be advantageous.
