What you'll do

• Architect and develop scalable, high-availability, and AI-ready product systems that serve as the foundation for our digital insights.
• Execute daily production deployments using CI/CD workflows to ensure rapid and safe delivery of new functionality.
• Manage full technical ownership of cross-domain features from initial design through final testing, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Integrate AI tools into the development lifecycle for coding, testing, and system architecture to boost productivity and innovation.
• Maintain system reliability and performance in production environments through proactive monitoring and optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define team roadmaps and technical strategy, aligning engineering efforts with company objectives.
• Utilize user feedback and performance metrics to guide technical choices and prioritize improvements in the product.
• Research and adopt new technologies to maintain product growth and keep our solutions at the forefront of the industry.
• Develop and maintain APIs that enable seamless communication between our microservices and external data providers.
• Implement automated testing strategies to increase coverage and reduce the risk of regressions in our complex systems.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and inform the technical roadmap for future product enhancements.
• Mentor junior engineers by providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and architectural decision-making.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to critical incidents and ensure continuous service availability for our users.
• Contribute to the open-source community where applicable and represent Similarweb in technical discussions and forums.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in server-side development building scalable and maintainable systems.
• Ability to manage features end-to-end, including architecture, coding, testing, and maintenance until successful delivery.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to producing clean, tested, and high-quality code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Independent work ethic with a high sense of accountability for your tasks and the outcomes of your projects.
• Proficiency in writing efficient and readable code that is easy to maintain and extend over time.
• Experience working in agile environments and adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and the ability to contribute to process improvements.

Nice to have

• Experience with React for building user interfaces that interact with our backend services.
• Background in microservices architectures and designing systems that are resilient and scalable.
• Proficiency with GenAI development tools to leverage artificial intelligence in the software development process.
