About the role

ServiceNow is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join the UK and Ireland team. This role focuses on building trust with technical leadership at major accounts by developing cross-functional strategies that highlight the value of our cloud platform. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding them through complex digital transformation initiatives specific to the UK market. The position requires a blend of deep technical acumen and executive presence to navigate multi-year enterprise programs. You will be instrumental in shaping the narrative around cloud adoption and operational resilience. Success in this role is defined by your ability to align client ambitions with ServiceNow's integrated suite of products. You will translate ambiguous business challenges into clear, compelling architectural narratives that resonate at the highest levels of the organization.

What you'll do

• Conduct discovery sessions with C-level and director-level stakeholders in manufacturing, retail, travel, and service sectors to deconstruct critical business objectives.
• Architect comprehensive solution designs that address IT transformation, AI governance, autonomous operations, digital product development, and enterprise service management.
• Synthesize intricate technical concepts into coherent narratives tailored for diverse audiences, from solution architects to members of the C-suite.
• Author strategic artifacts such as white papers, workshop agendas, and best practice guides that position ServiceNow as the industry thought leader.
• Map and contrast the client's current technology footprint against the desired future state, emphasizing ServiceNow's role as a central nervous system.
• Orchestrate stakeholder alignment sessions throughout the customer journey to secure buy-in and accelerate platform adoption.
• Quantify the business value of proposed architectures by articulating potential efficiency gains, risk mitigation, and compliance improvements.
• Leverage Human Centered Design methodologies to co-create future-state operating models that are both technically sound and user-friendly.
• Navigate complex procurement and technical review processes, ensuring all architectural proposals meet the stringent standards of large-scale enterprises.
• Mentor junior consultants and presales colleagues on solution articulation and the effective use of ServiceNow product capabilities.

Requirements

• Possess 8+ years of experience in a strategic, consultative pre-sales architecture role specifically within manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, or service industries.
• Demonstrate 10+ years of proven success influencing senior technology leaders and steering committees at enterprise organizations.
• Exhibit expertise in designing and managing advanced application architectures that span multi-platform and hybrid environments.
• Show proficiency in enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, WMS, POS, and digital commerce platforms and their interdependencies.
• Display knowledge of industry frameworks including TOGAF, Zachman, IT4IT, BIAN, and TMForum to structure your analysis and recommendations.
• Apply understanding of cloud-based architectural principles, including Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, multi-tenancy models, and infrastructure automation.
• Utilize Human Centered Design techniques to define future-state operating models and user experience considerations.
• Articulate the business and financial models of manufacturing and retail organizations, including detailed understanding of supply chain economics, cost structures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Operate with a high degree of integrity and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive client information appropriately.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform and its specific software products, such as IT Service Management or Customer Service Management.
• Knowledge of major enterprise software vendors like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Shopify and their market positioning.
• Experience integrating AI into work processes, workflows, or decision-making frameworks to enhance automation and insights.
