This role is situated within the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), with a primary emphasis on developing cloud security strategies and advocating for security measures that benefit customers. As a key technical expert, you will serve as a liaison between our internal security operations and the requirements of our enterprise clients, ensuring that security practices align with business needs.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead in-depth security discussions with potential clients and existing customers, particularly focusing on the financial services sector in Canada.
- Provide support to sales teams throughout both the pre-sales and post-sales phases, which includes addressing security-related inquiries and completing security questionnaires.
- Deliver presentations on topics related to cloud adoption and security assurance at various industry events, both internally and externally.
- Analyze threats associated with cloud and AI technologies, serving as a point of escalation during security incidents and investigations.
- Conduct thorough post-incident reviews to ensure effective remediation and recommend design modifications to enhance the overall cloud security framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to negotiate security terms in contracts and shape the messaging around product security.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in cloud security to provide informed guidance and recommendations.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices in cloud security.
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in the IT field, with at least 5 years specifically focused on cloud security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in addressing security challenges associated with Agentic AI and GenAI implementations.
- Hands-on experience in cloud operations, whether from the perspective of a service provider or a customer.
- A solid foundation in enterprise cyber defense strategies and threat analysis techniques.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Must meet eligibility criteria to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status under the PSPC Contract Security Program.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French is a valuable asset.
Nice to have
- In-depth knowledge of security regulations specific to the financial services industry.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CSSP, CEH, or equivalent credentials.
- Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) frameworks.

- Experience in managing the sales lifecycle from a security perspective
