What you'll do
- Design and develop scalable financial software solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for new features and enhancements.
- Implement and maintain APIs that facilitate data exchange between financial systems and other internal applications, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements and innovations that can benefit the finance engineering team.
- Document technical processes, system architecture, and code changes to maintain clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Work with DevOps to streamline deployment processes and ensure that financial applications are continuously integrated and delivered.
- Engage in regular sprint planning and retrospectives, contributing to the agile development process and helping the team to improve its workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on financial systems or applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
- Knowledge of financial concepts and principles, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
