About the role
Join our Barcelona team to shape an unannounced cross-platform Strategy/MMO title built on a major IP. You will guide the product lifecycle from early development through to release while collaborating with a veteran group of developers. In this capacity, you will serve as the primary architect of the product vision, ensuring that long-term goals remain cohesive with the market landscape. You will act as the central hub for decision-making, translating high-level concepts into executable plans that the engineering and design teams can follow. Your work will directly influence the player experience, balancing creative ambitions with the practical constraints of development timelines and resources. You will be responsible for maintaining a clear north star for the project, ensuring that every iteration moves the title toward its strategic objectives. Ultimately, your role will determine the success of the title by aligning business outcomes with the satisfaction of the target audience.

What you'll do
- Define the product roadmap, business model, and strategic vision for the game through rigorous analysis and forecasting.
- Oversee the full feature lifecycle, including requirements gathering, quality assurance validation, and post-release performance analysis to drive iterative improvements.
- Represent the player perspective to ensure development goals align with user needs and community feedback, acting as the voice of the customer within the team.
- Lead daily operations and mentor team members to ensure high-quality, timely delivery while fostering a collaborative and accountable environment.
- Analyze market trends and game metrics to generate actionable insights and set ambitious business objectives that capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Communicate complex product concepts clearly and concisely to cross-functional teams and executive leadership, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps and advantages, ensuring the title remains distinct and compelling in a crowded marketplace.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on a blend of user value, technical feasibility, and business impact to optimize the development pipeline.
- Partner with art, engineering, and marketing to ensure that the product vision is consistently realized across all touchpoints and customer interactions.
- Monitor key performance indicators post-launch to inform future patches, expansions, and long-term support strategies.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to uncover new opportunities and validate hypotheses about player behavior and monetization.
- Ensure that all product decisions are data-informed yet user-empathetic, balancing quantitative insights with qualitative context.
- Drive the documentation process to maintain a clear product history and rationale for future reference and onboarding.
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and dependencies related to the project timeline.
Requirements
- Professional background in software product management or product development with a track record of delivering successful digital products.
- Ability to interpret data and market signals to navigate ambiguous situations and make informed decisions under uncertainty.
- Deep understanding of player behavior and the connection between user experience and business goals, particularly in live-service environments.
- Proficiency in backlog management, goal setting, and selecting appropriate methodologies for project success, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide others without direct authority, fostering collaboration across teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate vision, priorities, and feedback to diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working on complex systems that require balancing multiple interconnected mechanics and long-term player engagement.
- Willingness to embrace feedback and iterate on ideas quickly, maintaining a growth mindset in a fast-paced development environment.
