You will be responsible for fostering a sustainable economy that supports long-term player health and monetization. Ultimately, your work will define how millions of players interact with the game on a daily and seasonal basis.
What you'll do
- Manage the live game organization, including event design, content schedules, economy health, and feature rollouts.
- Collaborate with data science and product leadership to set long-term retention, engagement, and monetization targets.
- Create scalable workflows for planning and executing global content updates.
- Coordinate with The Pokemon Company to ensure brand authenticity and content alignment.
- Advocate for player sentiment and maintain game balance.
- Mentor a global team of producers and product managers.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to executive leadership.
- Develop new methods to keep the game social and fresh.
- Establish operational playbooks that standardize live service best practices across teams.
- Drive the prioritization of experiments designed to test new mechanics and player behaviors.
- Translate high-level business objectives into actionable plans for engineering and design teams.
- Lead post-mortem analyses to extract insights and refine future content strategies.
- Partner with community management to align in-game changes with fan expectations.
- Ensure all live operations adhere to brand guidelines and regulatory considerations globally.

Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in live service game development.
- 5+ years in a director-level or senior leadership role managing operations for large global titles.
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of economy management, engagement loops, and event-driven retention.
- Analytical mindset for using data to guide creative decisions.
- Strong communication skills for managing stakeholders and partner organizations.
- Interest in the Pokemon brand and Scopely mission.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience managing remote teams across multiple time zones.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make decisions with incomplete information.
- A history of delivering high-quality results under tight production schedules.
- Willingness to take ownership of problems and drive them to resolution.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethics.
- Willingness to travel as required for business operations and partner meetings.
- Experience in live operations metrics and reporting frameworks.
