Engineering Manager
Job description
About the role
You will architect and own the end-to-end technical vision for Scaleway's new Marketplace platform, defining how core artifacts like OS images and container images are created, versioned, and distributed globally. You will design and develop the backend services that power this platform, primarily using Go and SQL, while ensuring the resulting architecture supports extreme scalability and reliability from day one. You will create and manage the full lifecycle of these digital products, implementing robust APIs and distributed systems that become the foundation of our commercial offering. As the first member of this initiative, you will translate product ambitions into concrete technical specifications, balancing hands-on development with strategic leadership. You will also recruit, mentor, and lead the growth of the engineering team, fostering a collaborative environment where quality and innovation thrive. Finally, you will work cross-functionally with Product Management and Core Engineering to ensure the Marketplace platform aligns with Scaleway's broader mission of sovereign, sustainable, and high-performance cloud.
