What you'll do

• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to integrate security and compliance requirements into the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and compliance gaps in our solutions.
• Develop and implement security best practices and compliance frameworks that align with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding compliance and security features of our products.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to security policies, procedures, and compliance measures.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of security audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Work closely with the customer support team to address security-related inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in security and compliance, and proactively recommend improvements to our processes and technologies.
• Train and mentor team members on security and compliance best practices, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability.
• Participate in incident response planning and execution, ensuring that we are prepared to address any security breaches effectively.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during compliance assessments and audits.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback on security features and compliance needs, driving continuous improvement in our offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a solutions engineering role with a focus on security and compliance.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2.
• Proven experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• Experience with cloud security and compliance in platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java for automation and scripting purposes.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in a technical capacity.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in security assessment tools and methodologies, including penetration testing and threat modeling.
• Familiarity with compliance management software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and metrics related to security and compliance.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
• Knowledge of network security protocols and practices.
