About the role
The is responsible for architecting and executing the event strategy that defines the company's presence within the U.S. Federal Government ecosystem. This role owns the full lifecycle of high-impact engagements, ranging from intimate executive dinners and practitioner meetups to large-scale sponsored trade shows and flagship annual conferences. The position serves as the critical bridge between marketing initiatives and commercial growth, working directly with business units and enterprise customers to transform event interactions into measurable pipeline acceleration. You will ensure that every event aligns precisely with strategic sales objectives and reinforces the Scale AI narrative in the public sector marketplace. This involves sophisticated coordination with external production partners and meticulous oversight of all event-related financial allocations. Furthermore, the role leads the execution of Scale's major annual federal conference, managing all aspects of content, logistics, and stakeholder satisfaction. You will also shape the AI Governance and Policy discourse at the company's flagship AI Leadership Summit, handling the intricate details of speaker acquisition and audience engagement across in-person and virtual formats. Finally, the position provides essential support for Scale's strategic presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos, representing the brand on a global stage.

Compensation: Base salary range for New York, San Francisco, or Seattle: $158,400 to $198,000 USD
Compensation: Base salary range for Washington DC, Texas, Colorado, or Hawaii: $142,400 to $178,000 USD
Compensation: Compensation includes base salary, equity (subject to Board approval), and benefits

What you'll do
- Conceptualize and execute end-to-end logistics for federal executive dinners, meetups, happy hours, and sponsored trade shows to ensure flawless delivery.
- Formulate event strategies that directly support sales objectives and deal acceleration priorities established by Federal leadership and Business Development teams.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with event production firms, external vendors, and contractors while maintaining strict oversight of event budgets and financial performance.
- Partner closely with growth marketing teams to design, deploy, and analyze campaigns, ensuring precise MQL reporting and data integrity.
- Monitor and evaluate campaign performance using Salesforce, translating data insights into actionable optimizations for future events.
- Orchestrate the complete delivery of Scale's annual hosted federal conferences, managing all timelines, stakeholders, and operational details from inception to conclusion.
- Spearhead the AI Governance and Policy track at Scale's annual AI Leadership Summit, directing content curation, speaker logistics, agenda development, and the attendee experience for both in-person and remote participants.
- Provide critical support for Scale's annual presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, coordinating travel, logistics, and representation strategies.
- Engage with external executives and their teams to secure high-profile speakers and guide the planning of presentation materials for Scale-hosted events.
- Analyze attendee engagement and lead quality to refine future event tactics, ensuring continuous improvement in ROI and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Develop strong rapport with federal stakeholders to understand evolving needs and tailor event experiences that resonate with public sector audiences.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of event processes and outcomes to facilitate knowledge transfer and organizational learning.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks associated with event execution, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align messaging, content, and event formats with broader marketing and product launch initiatives.
- Leverage technology platforms to streamline event registration, communication, and post-event follow-up processes.
Requirements
- Possess 8+ years of experience in event marketing or event management with a demonstrated focus on Federal marketing and public sector engagement.
- Have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events from initial concept through full completion and post-event analysis.
- Demonstrate the ability to simultaneously juggle multiple complex projects and events while effectively coordinating across internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach to navigate unforeseen challenges during event planning and execution.
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface confidently with senior executives, government officials, and cross-functional partners.
- Show willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to support event presence, client meetings, and stakeholder engagements across various locations.
- Hold the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines inherent to public sector marketing.
