About the role
Sauce Labs is seeking an experienced AI Architect to join our engineering leadership team. You will design and implement AI-driven features for our continuous testing platform, focusing on scalable solutions that analyze test data and automate quality assurance processes. In this capacity, you will own the end to end lifecycle of intelligent features, ensuring they meet stringent standards for reliability and performance. You will define the technical vision for AI initiatives that bridge the gap between raw test data and actionable business intelligence. Your work will directly influence how our platform delivers predictive insights and automation to customers worldwide. You will be responsible for translating complex requirements into robust architectural blueprints that guide engineering execution. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance innovation with the practical constraints of production environments.

What you'll do
- Architect scalable AI and machine learning systems for cloud-native product offerings that handle petabyte scale data.
- Create systems to extract actionable insights from large volumes of test logs and production analytics using advanced statistical methods.
- Integrate AI models with our error reporting tools to predict and diagnose mobile and web application issues before they impact users.
- Build architectures that unify test data and production metrics to improve user experience through a single source of truth.
- Develop AI models for automated failure analysis, root cause diagnosis, and test case generation to reduce manual QA efforts.
- Utilize Google Cloud Platform services and self-hosted Gemini Flash models for text generation and analysis within secure environments.
- Manage data pipelines by integrating Snowflake and Google BigQuery to ensure data integrity and timely availability.
- Provide technical mentorship and lead AI governance initiatives across engineering teams to maintain best practices.
- Collaborate with product management to define technical roadmaps and validate AI feasibility against market needs.
- Design experiments to measure the accuracy and latency of AI features in real world scenarios.
- Implement monitoring frameworks to track model performance and data drift over the lifetime of the system.
- Optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining high availability and resilience for critical testing workflows.
- Lead cross functional workshops to align AI capabilities with customer pain points and regulatory requirements.
- Document architectural decisions and trade offs to ensure knowledge transfer and long term maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software development and production-grade system architecture in enterprise settings.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying large-scale AI and machine learning platforms that serve global user bases.
- Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow for building data intensive applications.
- Practical experience with large language models, specifically Gemini Flash, including agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and output validation techniques.
- Background in big data, data warehousing, and analytics with a deep understanding of schema design and query optimization.
- Proficiency in scalable system design, microservices, and software development best practices such as version control and code review.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior leadership and cross-functional teams without relying on jargon.
- Willingness to perform hands on prototyping and proof of concept development to de risk architectural choices early.
- Familiarity with software testing, quality assurance, DevOps, or application performance monitoring is highly desired for context alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to strict security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection standards.

- Publications or speaking engagements at industry conferences focused on artificial intelligence or software quality.
- Hands on experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for deploying AI workloads.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting AI in software testing applications.

This is a hybrid role requiring regular in office attendance for employees based near our Gurugram location to ensure seamless collaboration.
