About the role
You own the end-to-end delivery of high-impact iOS features that directly shape how users save, invest, and grow their wealth. You will translate complex financial requirements into robust, user-centric mobile experiences that drive engagement and trust. You are accountable for the complete lifecycle of your code, from initial technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment to the App Store. You collaborate deeply with product, design, and backend teams to ensure solutions are cohesive, performant, and aligned with business goals. You leverage AI tools as force multipliers to write better code, accelerate debugging, and improve documentation quality. You take ownership of architectural decisions that impact scalability, security, and user experience in mission-critical wealth products. You are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance that our users expect from a leading financial platform.

What you'll do
- Architect and implement native iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI to deliver responsive, secure, and engaging wealth management experiences.
- Translate product requirements and financial specifications into technical solutions that power Funds, ETFs, and Stocks features within the consumer wealth ecosystem.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define integration points, refine user stories, and ensure seamless mobile functionality.
- Optimize app performance, reliability, and scalability through efficient coding practices, careful memory management, and thorough testing.
- Integrate and consume complex financial data streams, ensuring accurate rendering of charts, balances, and real-time updates for investment products.
- Implement and iterate on A/B tests and data-driven experiments in collaboration with analysts to maximize user engagement and conversion in wealth features.
- Champion clean architecture patterns such as MVVM, modularization, and dependency injection to maintain a maintainable and flexible codebase.
- Apply reactive programming techniques using RxSwift or ReactiveSwift to handle asynchronous data flows and complex user interactions.
- Ensure strict adherence to security, privacy, and compliance standards when handling user financial data and transactions.
- Contribute to the full mobile development lifecycle, including code reviews, debugging, documentation, and deployment to the App Store.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to automate repetitive tasks, accelerate root cause analysis, and improve code quality and documentation.
- Mentor and share knowledge with peers to elevate the overall quality and craftsmanship of the iOS codebase.
- Identify and eliminate technical debt while balancing feature delivery and long-term platform health.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver features that align with strategic product objectives in savings and investments.
- Maintain a deep understanding of user needs through analytics review and feedback loops to continuously refine the financial app experience.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Bring a minimum of 3 years of professional experience building and shipping high-quality native iOS applications to production.
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and the iOS SDK across multiple project phases.
- Show a strong grasp of common mobile architecture patterns, especially MVVM, and experience with modularization and dependency injection.
- Have hands-on experience with reactive programming paradigms using frameworks such as RxSwift or ReactiveSwift.
- Have a proven track record of publishing personal projects or professional apps on the Apple App Store.
- Possess a keen interest or prior experience in FinTech, trading platforms, or wealth management products and services.
- Show comfort working with complex financial data, numerical inputs, and data visualization components like charts and real-time feeds.
- Communicate effectively in English with clarity, precision, and professionalism in both written and verbal interactions.
- Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating adaptability, curiosity, and a strong drive to learn and deliver.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and build trust through structured, convincing communication with stakeholders.
- Be based in or willing to relocate to Milan, Italy, and comply with any applicable visa and work authorization requirements.
Nice to have
- Prior experience building features for savings, investment, or brokerage mobile applications.
- Familiarity with financial charting libraries and real-time data feed integration.
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks for iOS, including unit and UI testing.
- Knowledge of backend APIs, JSON parsing, and integration with financial data providers.
- Experience contributing to open-source iOS projects or publishing libraries used by other developers.
Practical notes
Hours: Full-time.
Office: Hybrid model with three days per week in the office (Tuesday and Thursday plus one chosen day), with option to request additional remote time.
