What you'll do
- Assume end-to-end accountability for the preparation, review, and delivery of all local statutory accounts and regulatory filings for the Luxembourg entity, ensuring absolute adherence to Lux GAAP/IFRS and all applicable legal requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison and financial representative to the CSSF and other relevant regulatory bodies, managing all interactions and ensuring the successful execution of annual audits and supervisory reviews.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve financial control frameworks and processes for the Luxembourg entity, focusing on balance sheet integrity, timely month-end close, and the accuracy of management information.
- Lead and develop the local Finance function, overseeing Financial Control, Controlling, and Finance Operations to build a scalable, efficient, and high-performing team aligned with Group standards.
- Own the entity's liquidity management strategy in compliance with e-money statutes, including cash forecasting, treasury coordination, and the optimization of surplus liquidity in line with risk appetite.
- Partner with the Group CFO and Treasury function to ensure seamless integration of local planning, reporting, and treasury activities within the broader Group financial framework and strategic objectives.
- Establish and monitor key risk indicators related to capital adequacy, liquidity, and balance sheet health, proactively identifying exposures and collaborating with the Chief Risk Officer on mitigation strategies.
- Drive the coordination of external audit processes, ensuring that all audit findings are addressed promptly and that financial disclosures are accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis and strategic insights derived from performance metrics, variance analysis, and business reviews to support data-driven decision-making by senior leadership.
- Oversee the administration of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring efficient operations, strict compliance with policies, and strong vendor and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure rigorous oversight of client funds in accordance with safeguarding regulations, implementing robust mechanisms to protect assets and maintain institutional trust.
- Act as the accountable officer for the Luxembourg entity's financial and regulatory obligations, ensuring all group-wide reporting packages are accurate, consolidated, and delivered on schedule.
Requirements
You must possess a minimum of 8 years of cumulative experience in senior financial leadership roles within Luxembourg's financial services sector, including positions within regulated payment institutions, e-money institutions, or banks. Your background must demonstrate a consistent track record of managing complex financial operations in a regulated environment. You are required to have an expert-level understanding of the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and Capital Requirements Directive (CRD), along with the detailed rules and guidance issued by the CSSF. You must be thoroughly versed in Luxembourgish accounting standards, specifically Lux GAAP and IFRS, and their application to financial reporting and consolidation. You must hold the necessary professional certifications and demonstrate the technical competence to manage treasury functions, statutory reporting, internal and external audit coordination, and capital and liquidity management. You must be able to meet the CSSF's stringent "fit and proper" criteria for the designation to an authorized director or management role within a regulated financial institution. You must possess a deep knowledge of financial regulation specific to payment services and e-money institutions operating in Luxembourg, ensuring that all activities are conducted in full compliance with the local regulatory framework. You must exhibit a proven ability to lead finance transformations and process improvements in a fast-scaling, technology-driven financial services organization.
