About the role
You will act as the primary financial strategist for the Group, directly partnering with the CEO to define and execute Satispay's long-term financial roadmap from our operational base in Milan. This role grants you significant ownership over capital allocation, investment decisions, and the overall financial governance that underpins our growth trajectory. You will own the design, development, and execution of Group-wide financial strategy, ensuring every decision drives sustainable value and reinforces our ethical foundation. A core part of your mandate will be to build and scale a high-performing, best-in-class finance organization that operates with precision and integrity. You will lead critical functions such as FP&A, Financial Control, Group Reporting, Investor Relations, and Finance Business Partnering across the entire entity. Furthermore, you will take ownership of our corporate finance activities, including equity and debt initiatives, M&A processes, and relationships with institutional investors. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the oversight of our Luxembourg banking subsidiary, ensuring its financial governance and regulatory compliance align seamlessly with Group standards. What you'll do
- Define and drive the Group's long-term financial strategy as a core member of the Executive Team, influencing corporate development, monetization plans, and the overarching business model.
- Lead the formulation of capital allocation priorities, profitability frameworks, and value creation initiatives across all business lines and geographies to guide strategic investment decisions.
- Serve as the key leader for all corporate finance activities, including equity fundraising, debt structuring, M&A execution, financial due diligence, and valuation processes.
- Act as the primary interface with the Board, shareholders, and institutional investors, supporting IPO preparation or capital markets readiness initiatives and investor relations strategy.
- Oversee Group financial reporting, including consolidated accounts, statutory reporting, and financial governance across all entities to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of financial data, providing robust support for both internal decision-making and external reporting requirements for regulators and stakeholders.
- Lead Group FP&A functions, owning budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across all business units to inform strategic and operational choices.
- Develop sophisticated forward-looking financial models to support strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and resource allocation across the company.
- Build, scale, and lead a best-in-class Group Finance organization, encompassing FP&A, Financial Control, Group Reporting, Investor Relations, and Finance Business Partnering capabilities.
- Provide strong ownership and governance over the Luxembourg banking subsidiary, collaborating closely with the Bank CFO and local leadership on regulatory reporting, treasury management, and financial control activities.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience to the role, demonstrating a history of increasing responsibility and impact.
- Include at least 3 years of direct experience acting as a Group CFO, VP of Finance, or Deputy CFO within a premier technology scale-up, neo-bank, payments company, or fast-paced fintech environment.
- Show a proven track record of engaging with institutional investors, managing Series funding initiatives, or navigating transitions within IPO or SPAC frameworks.
- Possess substantial experience operating within or alongside regulated financial environments such as banking, payments, fintech, or e-money institutions, with a strong grasp of governance and compliance frameworks.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration as the foundation for your financial expertise and strategic acumen.
- Obtain Executive-level qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent credentials, which are highly desirable and demonstrate your commitment to professional excellence.
- Communicate with full professional proficiency in English to ensure clarity and precision in all internal and external interactions.
- Leverage Italian language skills as a distinct advantage, enhancing your ability to integrate with the local team and broader European operations.
