What you'll do
- Design and develop communication systems for satellite platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability in data transmission.

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in satellite communication technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in communication system design and implementation.
- Engage with external partners and stakeholders to align communication strategies with broader organizational goals.
- Contribute to research and development initiatives aimed at advancing satellite communication capabilities.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to internal and external audiences, showcasing project progress and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in satellite communications or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong knowledge of communication protocols, modulation techniques, and signal processing.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing communication systems for satellite applications.
- Experience with RF design and testing, including knowledge of antennas and transmission lines.
- Familiarity with software-defined radio (SDR) technologies and their applications in satellite communications.
- Solid understanding of ground station operations and satellite control systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.
Nice to have
- Previous experience working with small satellite systems or CubeSats.
- Knowledge of orbital mechanics and satellite mission planning.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB for simulation and analysis purposes.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to satellite communications.

- Proficient in using simulation and modeling tools for communication system design.
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments.
- Experience with signal analysis tools and software for performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of network protocols and data handling techniques in satellite communications.
- Proficient in using CAD tools for circuit design and layout.
