What you'll do

• Oversee the entire accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments to vendors.
• Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions, facilitating easy retrieval and audit processes.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports related to accounts payable, providing insights into spending trends and cash flow management.
• Support the month-end closing process by ensuring all accounts payable transactions are recorded and reconciled.
• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status, inquiries, and any issues that may arise.
• Participate in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.
• Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets by providing historical data and insights related to vendor payments.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes that may impact accounts payable processes.
• Foster a positive working relationship with internal teams and external vendors to promote a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in relation to accounts payable.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements related to accounts payable.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

• Previous experience in the technology or aerospace industry is advantageous.
