What you'll do
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to optimize manufacturing efficiency and meet delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on production goals and resource allocation.
- Analyze inventory levels and forecast material requirements to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production status, highlighting any potential delays or issues that may impact project timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, maintaining strong relationships to facilitate smooth operations.
- Assist in the development of manufacturing budgets and track expenditures to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste within the manufacturing process.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, conducting regular audits and inspections.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members, sharing knowledge of processes and systems to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Utilize manufacturing software and tools to track production metrics and generate insights for decision-making.
- Engage in problem-solving activities to address production challenges, working closely with team members to find effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing planning or a similar role, preferably within the aerospace or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of production planning methodologies and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools, such as ERP systems, to manage production schedules and inventory levels.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Experience in the aerospace or satellite manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel or similar software, to support reporting and forecasting.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Fluency in English, in addition to Spanish, to communicate effectively in a global environment.
