This position supports financial analysis for product and research initiatives at Samsung Research America. The role partners with the Finance Team and other supporting teams to convert data into plans and reports. Compensation: Base pay range $141,600 to $194,650 USD.

Fluent speaking and writing in both Korean and English is required.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CFA/CPA) are considered a plus.

What you'll do

Conduct in-depth financial analysis for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis on large sets of business and financial data.

Prepare and present financial plans and reports to senior management to offer financial insights that support organizational decision making.

Support month closing coordination and assist in budget preparation, while regularly monitoring adherence and identifying areas for cost optimization.

Manage and lead finance-related projects, tracking progress to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.

Demonstrate superior financial modeling experience and advanced proficiency with Excel (Macro), Interm Powerpoint, and financial DB/Tool knowledge (SAP) and strong ERP skills.

Perform detail-oriented work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent communication skills with all stakeholders.

Utilize problem solving and analytical skills to understand business processes and propose data-driven improvements.

Leverage proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems and financial databases to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Employ excellent report-writing and communication skills to translate complex data into clear stories for diverse stakeholders.

Apply mastery of spreadsheet tools to enable efficient modeling, scenario testing, and the creation of robust financial models.

Uphold a deep understanding of accounting principles to ensure compliance and reliable interpretation of financial statements.

Requirements

A BS in finance or accounting or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.

8+ years of work experience in finance or accounting must be brought to this role.

A solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles is demonstrated consistently.

Problem solving and analytical skills are applied to understand business processes and drive improvements.

Report-writing and communication skills are excellent while interacting with all levels of management.

Project management is employed to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

Superior financial modeling experience and advanced proficiency with Excel (Macro), Interm Powerpoint, and financial DB/Tool knowledge (SAP) and strong ERP skills are shown.

Detail-oriented work is performed reliably in a high-pressure environment with excellent communication skills.

Fluent speaking and writing in both Korean and English is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CFA/CPA) are considered a plus to the existing qualifications.
