About the role

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for designing and constructing a self-evolving intelligence framework that underpins both SalesApe and the Self-Serve Abi AI business partner. Your primary focus will be on developing a cohesive learning platform that captures business interactions, enhancing AI recommendations by transforming individual customer engagements into a comprehensive system of intelligence. You will spearhead the technical direction for this essential infrastructure, dedicating a significant portion of your time to writing production-level code.

What you'll do

• Design and oversee the implementation of event collection systems and interaction logs to gather critical business data effectively.
• Create frameworks for measuring outcomes that connect AI-generated recommendations to tangible business metrics, such as customer retention and sales performance.
• Develop and enhance knowledge graphs, vector databases, and memory systems to facilitate intelligence sharing across various products.
• Establish infrastructure for experimentation and feature stores to enable secure testing and deployment of models.
• Formulate evaluation frameworks to assess prompt performance and track improvements in AI models.
• Implement a model-agnostic architecture that ensures flexibility and independence from specific large language model (LLM) providers.
• Provide technical guidance by prioritizing project roadmaps and protecting the engineering team from operational distractions, allowing them to focus on development tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical and product strategies, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing recommendation engines, personalization systems, or reinforcement learning frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and processing large-scale data efficiently.
• Expertise in data engineering, stream processing, and advanced data modeling techniques.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
• Familiarity with contemporary cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• In-depth understanding of knowledge graphs and vector databases, and their applications in AI.
• Capability to design robust architectures for LLM applications and to evaluate AI performance effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the development of Generative AI applications would be advantageous.
