In this position, you will serve as a subject matter expert and technical leader in the realm of engineering infrastructure, productivity, and enterprise tooling. Collaborating with globally distributed teams in Engineering, Product, and Security, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

What you'll do
- Take charge of the strategy, architecture, and execution of engineering infrastructure, focusing on enterprise tooling and AI-assisted workflow automation.
- Drive improvements in engineering productivity, delivery throughput, quality, security, and cost efficiency through the development of scalable platforms and practices.
- Lead the creation of an AI-first automation roadmap for Engineering Infrastructure and Enterprise Tooling, aiming to streamline processes and enhance operational performance.
- Architect and implement AI/LLM-enabled workflow automation throughout the software development lifecycle, including risk assessment, automated builds, and intelligent test selection.
- Establish guidelines for AI usage within internal tools, covering aspects like data handling, logging, model evaluation, and abuse prevention.
- Set technical standards for globally utilized developer tools, including source code management and self-service support systems.
- Design and enhance CI/CD and build/test pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Docker, ensuring they support multi-site engineering environments.
- Manage and scale test and quality workflows, utilizing test management systems to ensure consistent reporting and release sign-off across distributed teams.
- Automate workflows that span Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Partners, replacing manual processes with reliable automation.
- Integrate secure practices into pipelines and tooling, focusing on access control and audit trails, particularly for AI-enabled systems.
- Enhance build and test performance metrics, aiming for measurable improvements in pipeline stability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive architectural standards and influence adoption through effective communication and technical judgment.
- Mentor senior engineers and facilitate design reviews to address complex technical challenges across distributed systems.
- Provide long-term stewardship through the development of operational maturity practices and incident management strategies suitable for 24/7 global operations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in a Staff, Principal, or Architect role, demonstrating ownership in platform or infrastructure development.
- Proven expertise in developer productivity, CI/CD, build systems, or workflow automation, particularly in a globally distributed context.
- Strong hands-on experience with Git, including workflows and branching strategies.
- Proficiency in Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline design and reliability.
- Familiarity with Docker for reproducible build and test executions.
- Experience with build systems such as Bazel, BitBake, or Yocto.
- Knowledge of Jira for workflow design and cross-team visibility.
- Experience with test management systems like TestRail or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable automation solutions across multiple teams.
- Strong understanding of security, reliability, performance, and cost considerations in system design.
- Excellent written communication skills for creating architecture documents and operating procedures.
Nice to have
- Experience in building AI-assisted developer tools, such as CI insights or incident copilots.
- Familiarity with implementing evaluation and monitoring for AI systems, including quality metrics and human feedback loops.
- Extensive experience with software development on embedded Linux and multi-process architectures.
