The Producteur.trice VFX must recommend and deliver solutions and revised proposals during complex project phases while strictly adhering to timelines and financial ceilings. What you'll do

• Undertake comprehensive oversight spanning the entire VFX production lifecycle from initial concept to final delivery.
• Engage in cost assessment and bid formulation for prospective projects in collaboration with the Superviseur.trice VFX and commercial development teams.
• Formulate a holistic VFX strategy and a unified vision to guarantee client satisfaction, fiscal prudence, and revenue generation.
• Establish detailed schedules and project plans, including the definition of performance targets and critical milestones.
• Conduct exhaustive monitoring of schedules and expenditures, ensuring Shotgun remains the central and current repository for all project data.
• Authorize, evaluate, and budget overtime allocations as dictated by evolving project demands and timelines.
• Verify that all activities conform to the initial submission and project plan, directly addressing specific client specifications and requirements.
• Prepare all necessary financial reporting documents while proactively identifying potential schedule slippages, budgetary risks, and client-driven changes.
• Facilitate in-person knowledge transfer sessions between Superviseur.trice personnel and artists within the VFX teams to ensure continuity and clarity.
• Organize midterm and post-project review meetings to identify areas for enhancement and ensure all issues are resolved effectively.
• Collaborate across various departments to designate key creative personnel, ensuring an optimal equilibrium of experience and technical proficiency.
• Confirm that all requisite additional resources are mandated and secured until the absolute conclusion of the project.
• Maintain continuous dialogue with the production team concerning significant project-related information and critical updates.
• Champion the creation of VFX Breakdowns for every project to ensure clarity and operational efficiency.
• Act as an ambassador for Rodeo FX, promoting the company positively within the local and global VFX community to reinforce its standing as a sector leader.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of ten years of experience dedicated to VFX production management. A superior command of GSuite and Microsoft Office is mandatory for daily operations and reporting. Extensive familiarity with Shotgun as the principal project management system is essential. A thorough comprehension of the VFX production pipeline, from initial concept to final client delivery, is required. Proficiency in organizational structures and timeline planning under stringent commitments is critical. Willingness to undertake occasional international travel is necessary to accommodate project requirements.

Practical notes

This is a full-time, permanent position. The standard work arrangement is based in the Montreal office.
