Technical Sourcer (Short Term)

About the role

You will partner closely with Roblox recruiters and business leaders to deeply understand each team's goals and talent needs, then identify, attract, and engage top candidates who will drive our mission forward. You will proactively source and engage top talent through Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, and other platforms to build a robust and diverse pipeline. You will influence and improve processes to help the team work smarter, faster, and at scale while sharing talent market insights with hiring managers to guide decisions on leveling, compensation, and candidate profiles. You will mentor and coach hiring managers and interviewers, raising the bar on calibration, evaluation, and selection practices to ensure consistent excellence. You will champion a best-in-class candidate experience that reflects our values and culture at every stage of the process and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. You will ensure operational excellence with clean pipelines, accurate data, and strong ATS hygiene to maintain trust and efficiency. You will use data and insights to diagnose bottlenecks, measure impact, and tell compelling stories to stakeholders to demonstrate the value of sourcing initiatives. You will act as a strategic thought partner to hiring leaders, bringing recruiting analytics and competitive intelligence to shape organizational growth and support long-term vision.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and evolving talent demands.
• Explore and implement innovative sourcing techniques and tools to enhance reach and engagement with passive candidates.
• Build and maintain relationships with diverse talent communities and networks to expand the pool of qualified candidates.
• Track and report on key sourcing metrics to inform decision-making and optimize strategies over time.
• Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives related to talent acquisition and employer branding as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement by seeking feedback and identifying opportunities to refine sourcing workflows and outcomes.
• Leverage competitive intelligence to understand talent trends and positioning in the market.
• Assist in developing talent pipelines for critical roles to ensure readiness for future hiring needs.
• Contribute to the development of sourcing playbooks and guidelines to standardize best practices across the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of top of funnel technical recruiting experience (Engineering, C++, Product).
• Proven ability to manage high-volume pipelines while delivering quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated success in hiring senior and niche technical talent in competitive markets with complex requirements.
• A strong track record of influencing stakeholders and solving complex recruiting challenges with creativity and innovation.
• Experience utilizing an Applicant Tracking System to maintain candidate pipelines and ensure data integrity.
• A data-driven approach with the ability to analyze metrics, surface insights, and inform strategy to improve sourcing performance.
• A startup mentality and open to thinking outside of the box to test new ideas and approaches.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and build trust effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment with a structured yet flexible approach.

Practical notes

The role is 6-12 month, with extensions possible depending on performance and business needs. We follow a hybrid schedule out of our San Mateo office, requiring in-office presence Tuesday-Thursday.
