Roblox is on the lookout for a Senior Internal Auditor who will play a pivotal role in assessing and enhancing the company's internal controls and audit processes. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with SOX regulations and operational audits, allowing you to engage deeply with various business functions. You will collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams, helping to shape the internal audit framework as the company continues to grow and evolve.

What you'll do

• Assess and document the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls related to financial reporting, ensuring compliance with established standards.
• Conduct comprehensive internal audits using a top-down, risk-based methodology to identify and evaluate risks in key operational and financial processes.
• Regularly update the SOX scoping analysis to confirm which accounts, business processes, and systems are included in the audit scope.
• Collaborate with business units to implement SOX controls that effectively mitigate financial reporting risks associated with new products or business entities.
• Provide guidance to teams in developing actionable plans to address and remediate any identified control deficiencies.
• Monitor existing controls and track the status of outstanding audit issues, ensuring timely progress on corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain Risk and Controls Matrices, as well as coordinate SOX testing within the compliance tool.
• Establish a sustainable framework for efficient controls testing in future audit cycles.
• Deliver regular updates to the audit team regarding the status of internal controls testing and findings.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with management, consultants, and external auditors at all organizational levels.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on auditing standards and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings and discussions, ensuring alignment with U.S.-based teams through flexible working hours.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is essential for this role.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a technology firm or a Big 4 accounting organization.
• Possession of or progress towards recognized professional certifications such as CPA or CIA is highly desirable.
• A solid understanding of internal auditing standards, financial and operational risks, and the SOX and COSO frameworks.
• Proven experience in identifying, evaluating, and documenting the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and/or GAAS guidelines is required.
• Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• A commitment to the highest ethical standards and integrity in all professional dealings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to ensure adequate overlap with U.S.-based teams for meetings and discussions.
