What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of scalable frontend architectures that support high-performance applications within the Roblox platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and adherence to best practices in frontend development.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for frontend systems and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from ideation through deployment and post-launch analysis, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional, user-friendly interfaces.
• Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive iterative enhancements.
• Work closely with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
• Advocate for user-centric design principles, ensuring that all features prioritize the needs and preferences of the Roblox community.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and best practices for responsive design.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in game development or familiarity with game engines, particularly those used in the Roblox ecosystem.
• Knowledge of backend technologies and APIs, enabling effective collaboration with backend teams.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment strategies, particularly in relation to scalable applications.
• Previous experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong emphasis on modern frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha).
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency across the user interface.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices to create inclusive experiences for all users.
