As a Senior Corporate FP&A Manager specializing in Workforce Planning and Total Rewards at Roblox, you will play a pivotal role in steering the company's headcount planning initiatives. What you'll do
- Cultivate and sustain strong business relationships with People Business Partners, People Operations, Payroll, Compensation, Equity, Total Rewards, and Talent Acquisition to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Oversee the centralized headcount planning process, which includes establishing the annual budget, gathering bottom-up requests, and facilitating reviews with Finance, People, and executive teams leading up to the budget release.
- Take charge of the centralized compensation and benefits budgets, managing forecasts related to salaries, contractor expenses, fringe benefits, taxes, and stock-based compensation. Your deliverables will encompass annual, quarterly, and monthly FP&A cycles, including regular variance analyses and operational updates.
- Develop and enhance headcount and workforce reporting mechanisms, such as dashboards and executive summaries, to provide leadership with timely insights into hiring progress, budget variances, and necessary trade-offs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to define and maintain strategic long-range planning (LRP) objectives, ensuring alignment with the company's vision.
- Utilize and refine internal tools to manage various scenarios, capture bottom-up requests, and link approved plans to position and requisition workflows across the People organization.
- Drive continuous enhancements in workforce management processes, including zero-based headcount templates, scenario planning, and post-mortem analyses of the annual planning cycle.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by partnering with People Science & Analytics to ensure that workforce plans are aligned with company priorities and backed by solid data.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, or mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or related strategic finance roles, with public company experience being advantageous.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build partnerships across various functions, particularly in managing general and administrative functions.
- Demonstrated experience in handling multiple projects and stakeholders within a cross-functional setting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop frameworks for evaluating investment decisions and communicating financial concepts to senior leadership.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining data integrity.
- Experience in developing and automating reports that track financial and operational performance, with a keen interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency.
- Proficiency in Excel and presentation software, with extensive experience using Pigment or similar ERP solutions (e.g., Anaplan) being a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with large datasets and tools such as SQL, Tableau, and other business intelligence platforms is a plus.

Practical notes
For this position based at our San Mateo headquarters, the starting base salary ranges from $231,940 to $276,250 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as professional experience, training, and market demand. All full-time employees are eligible for equity compensation and benefits as outlined on our careers page. The work schedule includes in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with optional attendance on Mondays and Fridays.
