What you'll do

• Design and implement robust security architectures for cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and weaknesses in our cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle, promoting a culture of security-first thinking.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure clarity and adherence across the organization.
• Evaluate and recommend security tools and technologies that enhance our cloud security capabilities and streamline operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a strong focus on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
• Hands-on experience with security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and security controls, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools, integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with container security and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Skills & tools
