Staff Data and AI Engineer
This position operates at the nexus of data architecture and artificial intelligence within Enterprise Technology. The role is responsible for designing and constructing the foundational data infrastructure that enables advanced analytics and autonomous agent capabilities across the organization. You will architect and deliver data and AI systems that drive enterprise automation. This involves end-to-end ownership of solutions from initial strategic planning through to production deployment. You will work with enterprise stakeholders to establish future-proof data foundations that unlock critical business workflows.
Location is Los Angeles, USA.
The engagement is Full time, with regular business hours.
The compensation range is 180000 USD to 240000 USD.
Key Responsibilities
You will orchestrate enterprise integrations by connecting Workday, Oracle, OneStream, and Databricks into coherent, operational workflows. This involves designing dimensional models and medallion structures that underpin reporting, analytics, and reliable data products. You will build reference architectures for Retrieval-Augmented Generation and agentic systems, including components for indexing, vector storage, caching, and orchestration patterns.
A core function is partnering with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Legal, IT, and Operations. This partnership focuses on clarifying intricate business requirements and automating complex processes. You will implement secure data pipelines and transformations that power application functionality and executive decision-making processes.
Supporting conversational agents and workflow automations is essential for improving how teams interact with enterprise systems. You will shape data foundations to ensure reporting, analytics, and downstream tools can consume trusted information efficiently. Enabling enterprise knowledge management through search platforms and retrieval augmented generation for business-critical problems is a key duty.
Required Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems. Equivalent practical experience delivering large-scale technology solutions is also acceptable. You bring eight or more years of experience in enterprise data, applications, or platform engineering. A proven track record of delivering solutions at scale is essential.
You possess hands-on experience delivering AI or advanced agentic automation in production settings. Demonstrated knowledge of orchestration platforms like Workato, n8n, and Camunda is required. Familiarity with AI platforms such as Google Vertex and OpenAI is mandatory.
You have practical experience building data pipelines, integrations, and warehouse solutions across diverse platforms. A strong understanding of dimensional modeling and medallion architecture is necessary. Hands-on work with Databricks for transformation and workflow implementation is required. Experience with enterprise systems and their integration options is essential.
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting master data, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence use cases across multiple domains is valued. Hands-on implementation of agentic workflows using Workato and operational analytics powered by AI is a significant advantage.
Knowledge of agent development frameworks such as LangChain or Pydantic AI, along with orchestration tools like LangGraph or Vertex AI Agent Builder, is desirable. Background building enterprise search, vector databases, and retrieval augmented generation for business-critical challenges is preferred.
Skills & Tools
