About the role
Rillet is seeking a Deployment Lead for Accounting Solutions who will own the end to end execution of customer onboarding and implementation projects. You will translate complex accounting workflows into clear implementation roadmaps and ensure seamless adoption of Rillet's AI-native ERP. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers during critical deployment phases, guiding them from initial setup to steady state operations. You will leverage your deep accounting knowledge to advise finance teams and help them unlock value from their technology investment quickly. The focus of this role is to drive timely, high quality deployments that reinforce Rillet's reputation for reliability and impact. You will collaborate closely with cross functional partners to resolve issues and optimize processes for each customer engagement.
Key facts
What you'll do
Lead the planning and execution of customer onboarding and deployment initiatives for new Rillet customers.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align implementation plans and resolve blockers that could delay go live.
Analyze existing client accounting and finance workflows and convert them into detailed requirements and practical configuration solutions.
Guide customers through training, change management, and adoption activities to ensure they derive maximum value from Rillet's platform.
Own data migration activities, oversee reconciliations, and coordinate systems setup and integration work with internal and external teams.
Monitor project milestones, drive follow through, and maintain alignment among internal stakeholders and external customers.
Identify potential risks early in the deployment process and escalate issues promptly to keep implementations on schedule.
Build strong customer relationships by being responsive, thoughtful, and solutions oriented throughout every deployment phase.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of implementation steps and provide regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Support continuous process improvements by gathering feedback and identifying opportunities to streamline deployment playbooks.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure that customer specific requirements are addressed without compromising product standards.
Act as an internal advocate for the customer, ensuring their priorities are reflected in product enhancements and implementation guidance.
Track dependencies across multiple workstreams and manage timelines to meet firm customer onboarding commitments.
Promote best practices around close management, reconciliations, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and core finance workflows during deployments.
Requirements
Bring 4 to 7 years of professional experience in accounting, audit, advisory, or other customer facing roles.
Demonstrate a strong accounting foundation and the ability to discuss close processes, reconciliations, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and other core finance workflows with credibility.
Communicate effectively with both individual contributors and senior stakeholders, adapting your style to suit different audiences and contexts.
Be systems minded and comfortable learning implementation methodologies, even if your prior role did not include a formal implementation title.
Show strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities simultaneously.
Remain comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic startup environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
Collaborate effectively across functional boundaries with technical and non technical teams to advance shared implementation goals.
Have prior experience at a Big 4 firm, a SaaS company, or a technology firm, which is considered a valuable background for this position.
Be based in a location near our New York City or San Francisco offices, or be open to relocating to one of these hubs.
Be eligible to work in the United States and capable of commuting to an office location as needed for team collaboration.
Commit to a hybrid schedule that includes in person collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays, along with one additional flexible day each week.
Be prepared for some roles to require greater in office presence depending on team specific needs.
Nice to have
Experience leading ERP implementations or deployments in mid market or enterprise environments.
Familiarity with AI enabled finance tools and an interest in how emerging technology transforms accounting workflows.
Background working with venture backed, high growth technology companies or public companies.
Knowledge of revenue recognition standards and consolidation processes in complex corporate structures.
Practical notes
This role is full time and based on a standard work schedule as defined by company policy.
Some positions may require additional office presence depending on team requirements.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and able to commute to an office location when necessary for team coordination.
The hybrid work model includes set days for in person collaboration, with flexibility for the remainder of the week.
