About the role
Rillet is seeking an Accounting Success Manager to act as the primary strategic partner for a portfolio of accounting and finance leaders within our customer base. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end relationship, ensuring that clients derive maximum value from Rillet's AI-native ERP platform. You will translate complex accounting requirements into automated, scalable solutions that drive efficiency in areas such as revenue recognition and consolidation. The ideal candidate will combine deep accounting expertise with the ability to influence at the executive level, acting as a trusted advisor to CFOs and Controllers. You will proactively identify opportunities to expand platform usage and ensure long-term customer retention through measurable outcome delivery. This role requires extreme ownership of customer health, from initial implementation through long-term strategic advisory. You will be the central point of contact for all strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment between client goals and Rillet's platform capabilities.

- Own customer relationships and outcomes by building deep, strategic partnerships across your portfolio and running success plans that maximize value attainment of Rillet.
- Deliver unique AI-driven accounting solutions by translating complex technical accounting problems into automated workflows powered by Rillet's AI platform.
- Apply accounting expertise to bridge the gap between technical product capabilities and real-world customer accounting needs, ensuring solutions adhere to standards such as US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Drive platform adoption and expansion by leading training sessions, advising on process optimization, and improving efficiencies in month-end close and consolidation activities.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration by providing front-line customer feedback to founders and Product teams in close to real-time, triaging support issues with Engineering, and ensuring smooth account handoffs with Implementation.
- Become a Product Expert by developing deep proficiency in Rillet's AI-native platform, staying current on the latest features, functionality, and best practices for system configuration.
- Represent Rillet as the primary point of contact, applying high customer empathy and structured problem-solving to ensure every interaction is delightful and outcome-focused.
- Manage the full customer lifecycle from onboarding through renewal, identifying expansion opportunities and ensuring continuous value realization from the ERP solution.
- Analyze customer usage data and health metrics to proactively identify risks and drive adoption of advanced features like multi-entity consolidation and investor reporting.
- Act as an internal advocate for the customer, ensuring product roadmaps and support processes reflect real-world accounting workflows and constraints.
- Develop and maintain detailed success plans that outline clear milestones, value metrics, and governance cadence for each customer relationship.
- Support the sales organization by providing accurate forecasting input on account expansion, contract negotiations, and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Mentor other team members on best practices for customer engagement and accounting automation within the context of an AI-native ERP.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy in all client deliverables, reinforcing Rillet's position as a trusted partner for mission-critical financial processes.
- Contribute to the creation of internal playbooks and knowledge base articles that capture successful strategies and configurations for common accounting scenarios.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public audit/assurance or industry roles covering GL/Close, Revenue, AP, or Consolidations.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and the end-to-end financial close process, with demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in a technology-driven environment.
- Proven ability to translate accounting requirements into system configurations and automated workflows without relying on traditional coding alone.
- Experience with ERPs such as NetSuite or Intacct, and comfort with picking up new finance tools quickly in a fast-paced setting.
- Bias to action, ownership mindset, and high attention to detail even when operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- CPA (active or inactive) is preferred; prior client-facing, consulting, or implementation experience is highly valued.
- Ability to work within a structured sales engineering or customer success framework while maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving product capabilities.
- Willingness to relocate or work within commutable distance of our New York City or San Francisco offices, or to work remotely if based anywhere in the United States.
- Commitment to maintaining extreme speed, agility, and flexibility in all interactions with both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for advising C-suite executives and translating technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Readiness to engage in continuous learning of AI-native finance tools and emerging best practices in the accounting technology space.
