Senior Product Designer
Job description
Senior Product Designer at Retell Ai.
About the role
Retell AI is using first-principles thinking to reimagine the call center with cutting-edge voice AI. Thousands of companies now use Retell's AI voice agents to handle sales, support, and logistics calls that once required large teams of human agents. The role owns the end-to-end product design for core user workflows, working directly with founders, engineers, and customers to shape features from first principles rather than polishing after decisions are made. This is a high-ownership position with real influence over product direction, UX quality, and design standards in a fast-moving environment. The designer will be responsible for turning complex, technical workflows into clear, intuitive, and human experiences that power real-time interactions under pressure. You will build and evolve Retell's design system, setting standards for consistency, scalability, and craftsmanship as the product and team grow.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own the product experience end-to-end, from early concepts and PRDs to polished, shipped features used by real customers in high-stakes, real-time scenarios.
- Shape how users interact with AI voice agents, turning complex, technical workflows into clear, intuitive, and human experiences.
- Work side-by-side with engineers and founders to define, refine, and ship features, ensuring design intent and quality are preserved all the way to production.
- Be the voice of the user, conduct customer interviews, gather feedback, and translate real user pain points into thoughtful design solutions.
- Proactively raise the UX bar by identifying friction, inconsistencies, and opportunities across the product, and driving improvements from idea to launch.
- Build and evolve Retell's design system, setting standards for consistency, scalability, and craftsmanship as the product and team grow.
- Hold a high bar for craft and quality, sweating the details and refusing to compromise on clarity, usability, or polish.
- Influence product direction through design, contributing strong opinions, clear rationale, and taste-driven decisions that shape what we build next.
- You might thrive if you have 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on shipped products.
- You have a strong user-centered design background (HCI, design, or equivalent experience).
