What you'll do
- Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding procedures to ensure timely asset allocation and access provisioning.
- Set up and configure laptops and workstations for new hires across macOS and Windows environments.
- Resolve complex hardware and software issues for staff using diagnostic tools and systematic troubleshooting.
- Administer Google Workspace, Slack, Rippling, SSO, and MDM platforms to maintain secure user access.
- Support office networking, conference rooms, and internal technology infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Ensure endpoint compliance and manage a detailed device inventory using tracking systems and documentation.
- Contribute to SOC2 compliance initiatives by conducting access reviews and participating in security audits.
- Improve internal security practices and documentation to create standardized operational playbooks.
- Manage hardware inventory and support office operations by coordinating with vendors and logistics partners.
- Develop automations for onboarding, SaaS provisioning, and IT workflows to reduce manual intervention and errors.
- Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for process optimization and tool enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions that support scalability and efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all IT assets, licenses, and service agreements for audit and financial planning.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to improve overall department productivity.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Bring 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT support or systems administration roles in professional settings.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing macOS devices including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Show proficiency with Google Workspace, MDM platforms, and identity management systems for user lifecycle control.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues under tight deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in written and verbal formats.
- Adhere to company policies and security protocols to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
- Reliable transportation is necessary to perform the onsite role at the designated office location.
- Legal authorization to work in the country is required without sponsorship being available for this position.
- Current eligibility to work is required based on the specific terms of the contract duration.
- Capability to handle background checks and security screenings as part of the hiring process.

This is an onsite role requiring physical presence at the office in Redwood City, Canada. The position is structured as a contract engagement with long-term potential. Standard working hours apply, and adherence to schedule is expected. No visa sponsorship is provided for this opportunity. Candidates must meet all requirements without exception to be considered. The selected professional will receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Additional perks include a $70 per day DoorDash credit for meal convenience.
