About the role
The Strategic Finance hire at Replit will own the end to end financial strategy for a suite of high impact initiatives that shape how the company scales. You will act as a key business partner to executive leadership and the board, translating complex operational realities into clear financial narratives and decision frameworks. This role owns the analytical backbone for critical choices ranging from product launches to international expansion and corporate development. You will leverage data and modeling to challenge assumptions, quantify trade offs, and prioritize where Replit should invest for maximum long term value. The position requires comfort with ambiguity and the ability to move quickly when insights demand swift action. You will be the financial voice ensuring that strategic bets are grounded in rigorous analysis and aligned with the company's overarching mission.

What you'll do
- Partner cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Support, Product, and Engineering to construct financial models and analyses that guide major organizational decisions.
- Build and present business cases, financial models, and investment analyses for new product launches to support evidence based go or no go choices.
- Collaborate with go to market leadership to optimize sales capacity planning, funnel and pipeline analytics, pricing strategy, and resource allocation for growth initiatives.
- Analyze pricing and packaging strategies using quantitative and qualitative frameworks to recommend optimal approaches for different customer segments.
- Evaluate unit economics and recommend strategies that balance growth investments with operational efficiency to achieve target margin outcomes over time.
- Analyze global expansion opportunities including localization requirements, regional pricing strategies, go to market approaches, and potential commercial partnerships.
- Partner with sales leadership to scale enterprise sales operations, refine motions, and model the financial impact of strategic account pursuits.
- Work with the FP&A team on long range planning, forecasting, growth headcount planning, and the development of comprehensive financial strategies.
- Prepare materials for quarterly board meetings, ensuring financial narratives are clear, compelling, and backed by robust analysis.
- Conduct competitive analysis and industry research to generate market insights that inform strategic planning and scenario development.
- Support corporate development initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships from initial sourcing through execution and integration.
- Assist in investor relations activities, including fundraising, managing investor communications, and preparing materials for current and potential investors.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
- Possess 3 to 6 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, business operations, or strategic finance roles.
- Have hands on experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools to manipulate large data sets and derive insights.
- Show an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast moving environments where priorities can shift rapidly.
- Be self directed with a strong work ethic and the capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Maintain expert level financial modeling skills and demonstrate proficiency with business intelligence tools used for reporting and analysis.
- Communicate with strong presence and clarity, adapting messages for executives, engineers, and cross functional stakeholders.
- Exercise exceptional business judgment with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategic insights.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this position at the time of hire.
- Be located in or be willing to relocate to the Foster City, California area to perform the role in person.
Nice to have

Practical notes
This is a full time position based in our Foster City, CA office. The role requires in office presence on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
