About the role
The Account Executive in India is responsible for owning the end-to-end sales cycle for new business acquisition on the Replit platform, driving growth and expanding our market presence in the region. You will act as the primary champion for Replit, articulating its value proposition that enables users to create applications using natural language, thereby making software development universally accessible. This position requires you to identify key decision-makers, build rapport, and guide prospects from initial discovery through to successful contract closure. You will be the voice of Replit, ensuring that the narrative of agentic software creation resonates with potential clients across diverse industries. Success in this role means securing new logos that directly contribute to the company's revenue targets and market penetration in India. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to align sales strategies with product updates and market feedback. Ultimately, you will shape the future of how software is built in India by fostering adoption among developers and organizations seeking innovative development tools.

What you'll do
You will spearhead the identification and qualification of new leads within the Indian market, utilizing advanced search techniques and data platforms to build a robust pipeline of high-potential accounts. You will craft and deliver compelling value propositions during discovery calls, demonstrating how Replit's natural language programming environment can solve specific business challenges for software teams. You will manage the entire deal lifecycle, from initial contact through negotiation, proposal creation, and final contract execution, ensuring adherence to professional standards. You will leverage CRM tools to maintain meticulous records of all interactions, updating deal stages and forecasting accurately to support strategic planning. You will collaborate with marketing teams to provide feedback on campaign effectiveness and refine messaging based on real-world client interactions. You will stay current on industry trends and competitor activities, reporting insights that can shape product positioning and sales tactics. You will participate in virtual and in-person events, representing Replit at conferences and webinars to engage with the developer community. You will work alongside customer success managers to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients, setting the stage for long-term retention and expansion.
Requirements
You must be based in India and possess a valid work authorization to operate within the country. You should have a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and demonstrating resilience in a target-driven environment. You must be comfortable working with technical stakeholders and explaining complex concepts in a clear, concise manner. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with C-level executives and technical professionals alike.
