About the role
You will lead the end-to-end product strategy and execution for Rent the Runway's core offerings across Subscription, One-Time Rental, and Resale businesses. You will own the roadmap for the consumer platform, defining how customers discover, try, and integrate circular fashion into their lives. You will partner deeply with Engineering and Design to translate customer needs into intuitive, scalable product solutions. You will mentor and grow a high-performing team of product managers, fostering an environment of ownership and innovation. You will leverage data and customer feedback to continuously refine the experience and drive long-term business value. You will represent the voice of the customer at the highest levels of the company. You will ensure that our products reflect RTR's core mission of joyful, sustainable, and financially-savvy fashion.

What you'll do
Define and communicate a clear, compelling product vision and strategy for the RTR consumer platform that aligns with business goals.
Lead a high-performing product management team, setting priorities, goals, and accountability for key outcomes.
Partner with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
Own the discovery, definition, and delivery of features across search, browse, AI styling, personalization, recommendations, and fit solutions.
Champion a customer-obsessed mindset, ensuring deep empathy for renter needs and pain points shapes every product decision.
Establish clear success metrics and KPIs to measure product performance and drive continuous improvement.
Build and maintain the technical foundation and systems that enable scalable, delightful user experiences.
Evaluate third-party solutions and market trends to ensure RTR's systems and processes remain best-in-class.
Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and collaboration within the product organization and across the company.
Communicate progress, roadmaps, and key decisions to executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners regularly.
Prioritize ruthlessly across competing business and technical investments to maximize impact on customer outcomes.
Create seamless, engaging, and personalized experiences that make Rent the Runway feel tailored to each individual user.
Drive the evolution of the consumer platform, including discovery, personalization, and merchandising tooling.
Lead the strategic direction for subscription, one-time rental, and resale offerings to delight diverse customer segments.
Build strong partnerships with other departments to ensure alignment on company priorities and customer needs.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Must have at least 8 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing other product managers.
Must have experience owning the full product lifecycle from discovery through execution and post-launch measurement.
Must be highly comfortable making data-driven decisions and using analytics to inform product strategy.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to influence executives and stakeholders.
Must thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Must have experience working with Agile development processes and collaborating closely with Engineering teams.
Must be a team player who actively seeks feedback and creates an inclusive, collaborative work environment.
Practical notes
The role is full-time and reports to a member of RTR's Executive team, positioning you as a key leader within the company's extended senior leadership team. RTR currently operates on a Hybrid model, requiring employees to work from our Dumbo office four days a week, with flexibility on Fridays. This arrangement is designed to support collaboration in the office while allowing for focused remote work. There may be occasional travel required based on business needs, and candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship for this position. The role is based in Brooklyn, New York, at our headquarters, and is open to candidates who are located in or willing to relocate to the New York City area. This is a senior-level position that demands strategic thinking, strong execution, and the ability to drive measurable business results in a dynamic fashion. You will be expected to hit the ground running and contribute meaningfully to the growth and evolution of our platform.
