About the role
Relayfi is on the lookout for a talented Video Producer to join our dynamic Marketing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in defining and enhancing our brand's visual narrative. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire video production process, from conceptualization to final delivery, ensuring that the content resonates with our target audience of small business owners. You will collaborate closely with teams focused on social media and content marketing to craft engaging, informative, and entertaining video stories.

What you'll do
- Develop innovative video concepts that align with Relayfi's brand identity, product offerings, and the needs of our customers, while adhering to YouTube best practices.
- Manage the entire video production process, including scripting, scheduling, logistics, on-camera direction, and post-production editing.
- Coordinate with talent, freelancers, and vendors to ensure that all productions are completed on time and within budget constraints.
- Collaborate with the Brand, Growth, and Product Marketing teams to seamlessly integrate video content into marketing campaigns, product launches, and other company initiatives.
- Establish and uphold production workflows that guarantee a consistent output of high-quality video content.
- Analyze and adapt video content based on performance metrics and audience feedback to continuously improve engagement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our video content fresh and relevant.
- Provide constructive feedback to team members and stakeholders throughout the production process to ensure alignment with project goals.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in video production, with a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
- A diverse portfolio that showcases various video formats, styles, and target audiences, reflecting a strong creative vision.
- Demonstrated ability to explore and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline workflows and enhance content creation.
- Comprehensive understanding of YouTube's algorithm, content structure, and optimization strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
- A proactive mindset and a sense of urgency in your work, taking ownership of video projects and driving them forward efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to identify potential challenges early and work independently to resolve them.
- A keen understanding of cultural relevance and the ability to connect it with brand messaging.
- Comfort in collaborating across various departments and presenting work-in-progress to stakeholders with confidence.
Nice to have
- Experience in creating video content tailored for small and medium-sized businesses, particularly in the fintech or financial services sectors.
- High standards for video editing quality, including attention to pacing, sound design, color correction, graphics, and captioning.
- Experience directing non-professional talent, such as company founders, executives, or customers, in front of the camera.
- Familiarity with developing workflows for repurposing content across different platforms, such as transforming YouTube videos into Reels, Shorts, or LinkedIn posts.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted video tools for tasks like captioning, scripting, or B-roll integration.
- Skills in motion design or animation would be a plus.
- Previous experience in a SaaS, fintech, or high-growth startup environment is advantageous.

Practical notes
- To be considered for this position, all applications must include a link to your portfolio showcasing your work.
- The interview process will consist of a 30-minute Google Meet with the Talent team, followed by a 45-minute Google Meet with the Director of Brand. Candidates will also be required to complete a video exercise or case study presentation, culminating in a 45-minute in-person interview with a member of the Leadership team.
- Compensation is linked to the impact of your work and has the potential to grow beyond standard annual review cycles.
- Offers below the typical starting salary of $120,000 CAD will be made to candidates who are expected to grow into the role, while offers exceeding this amount will reflect exceptional qualifications or an expanded scope of responsibilities.
