About the role
You will serve as the primary customer advocate within the product team, ensuring that user needs directly influence strategic decisions and roadmap priorities. You will own the end-to-end positioning and narrative for Relayfi's product suite, translating complex financial workflows into clear value propositions for self-made business owners. This role requires you to drive market adoption by aligning product capabilities with real customer pain points and growth opportunities. You will partner closely with engineering and design to shape feature development based on data, customer feedback, and competitive dynamics. You will define and own key performance indicators for product initiatives, using insights to refine messaging and improve conversion across all touchpoints. You will act as the bridge between quantitative analysis and qualitative storytelling, ensuring every launch communicates a coherent and compelling value story. You will continuously test and iterate on positioning, packaging, and messaging to strengthen product-market fit over time.

What you'll do
- Act as the primary voice of the customer within the product team by synthesizing research, feedback, and behavioral data to inform the product roadmap and prioritization.
- Partner with Product Management and Brand/Design to develop and validate product strategies that align market opportunities with business objectives and user needs.
- Define and execute go-to-market strategies for new features, product launches, and key initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer needs and measurable business outcomes.
- Lead end-to-end positioning and messaging development for Relayfi products, translating technical capabilities into clear narratives for distinct audiences.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to uncover insights that shape product positioning, pricing, and packaging decisions.
- Collaborate with Demand Generation and Growth teams to design adoption and activation programs that drive user onboarding, engagement, and retention.
- Identify friction points across the user journey and run experiments in partnership with Product, Data, and Growth teams to test improvements and optimize conversion.
- Own the creation of sales enablement tools, customer stories, and proof points that support internal teams in articulating value to prospects and partners.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Data, Brand/Design, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success to ensure cohesive messaging and seamless customer experiences.
- Define and manage project timelines for product launches, coordinating stakeholders to hit targets and enabling internal teams with clear documentation and guidance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track product performance, adoption, and campaign effectiveness, using metrics to guide decision-making.
- Champion experimentation and data-driven storytelling by setting KPIs, analyzing results, and iterating on messaging and positioning based on performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to align on shared product marketing objectives.
- Translate customer insights and market trends into actionable recommendations that influence product direction and go-to-market execution.
- Ensure all product communication is consistent, compelling, and reflects the distinct value of Relayfi's platform across channels and touchpoints.
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in an early-stage B2B or B2B2C company, with experience supporting SMBs.
- You have a proven track record of launching products or features, driving adoption, and delivering tangible business and customer outcomes.
- You're a data-driven storyteller, skilled at crafting compelling narratives that resonate with and influence stakeholders and customers alike based on metrics.
- You're a customer champion - you engage deeply with customers and translate those insights into messaging and positioning that resonates.
- You take pride in being a trusted voice of the customer when they're not in the room.
- You have exceptional project management skills, leading and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to act with urgency and meet objectives and deadlines.
- You're metrics-driven - you define KPIs, create reporting requirements, and partner with the Data team to produce high-quality reports that track progress.
- You excel in fast-paced environments, have a bias for action, and demonstrate a strong ownership mindset.
