About the role

In this role, you will define the product strategy and technical roadmap for internal software applications that support the development and production of the Terran R rocket. You will act as the central connective tissue between operational user needs and the engineering execution required to transform those needs into robust digital solutions. The position focuses on building a scalable digital backbone that underpins our manufacturing and launch facility operations. You will bridge gaps between complex technical constraints and real-world business demands to ensure software investments drive tangible operational outcomes. The role requires balancing visionary thinking with pragmatic execution to deliver software that enhances reliability and throughput. You will be responsible for ensuring that the software portfolio evolves in step with the company's ambitious production goals. Ultimately, your work will ensure that our digital infrastructure enables the speed and precision required in rocket manufacturing and launch.

What you'll do

• Establish the vision and technical strategy for software applications used across the company to align with long-term operational objectives.
• Determine the balance between custom software development and off-the-shelf system functionality to optimize cost, time, and capability.
• Partner with departments including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, and Test & Launch to identify operational requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to align product goals with technical implementation, ensuring feasibility and maintainability.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from initial concept and requirements gathering through design, development, deployment, and post-launch support.
• Integrate software systems across ERP, MES, PLM, and QMS platforms to create a cohesive and reliable data flow across the organization.
• Track emerging technologies like IoT, advanced analytics, and Industry 4.0 frameworks to evaluate future applications that can enhance production and launch operations.
• Define and track performance metrics such as OEE, downtime, traceability, and user adoption to measure the impact of software investments.
• Lead change management and training initiatives to drive software adoption across multiple sites and diverse user groups.
• Evaluate and prioritize enhancements and new features based on their impact on operational efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders to ensure software solutions meet evolving business needs.
• Conduct regular reviews of software performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Ensure that software implementations comply with internal standards and regulatory expectations relevant to aerospace manufacturing.
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to uncover pain points and define detailed requirements that guide development teams.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Bring 8+ years of product management experience, ideally within manufacturing software or large-scale user applications in industrial settings.
• Possess 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, specifically involving configuration, enhancement, and integration of third-party systems.
• Demonstrate a proven track record in creating product roadmaps, writing user stories, and managing release cycles from conception to deployment.
• Show the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership, engineers, and operations staff.
• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear product requirements.
• Have experience working with enterprise software systems and understanding of how they support large-scale manufacturing environments.
• Commit to working in accordance with Relativity policies, including adherence to safety, quality, and data security standards.

Nice to have

• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing workflows, including production, quality control, traceability, OEE, and regulatory compliance in aerospace or similar regulated industries.
