About the role

Key facts
What you'll do
- Design fluid systems, including P&IDs, component selection, and analysis, ensuring compatibility with test objectives.
- Create detailed 3D models, structural designs, and fabrication drawings that serve as the foundation for hardware construction.
- Manage the activation, maintenance, and upgrades of test stands to guarantee operational readiness and safety.
- Execute test campaigns for engines, components, and full stages using automation and GUIs to streamline processes and improve data integrity.
- Prepare hardware for testing through rigorous inspections, leak checks, and functional verification to mitigate risks.
- Author work instructions and manage non-conformances for test articles to maintain compliance and traceability.
- Coordinate hardware flow and repairs with technicians and quality inspectors to uphold schedule and quality standards.
- Analyze test data and system performance to identify discrepancies and recommend design improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of test procedures that align with safety and quality protocols.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, test operations, and production teams to ensure alignment on project milestones.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrate the ability to safely operate common power tools in a manufacturing or test environment.
- Possess a valid driver license for site vehicle operation to enable mobility within the facility.
- Exhibit the capability to travel up to 10% of the time to production or launch sites as required by project needs.
- Must pass a US government background check for site access to ensure eligibility for sensitive assignments.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and protocols in all testing and fabrication activities.
- Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented setting that values diverse skills and perspectives.
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure accuracy in designs, documentation, and test execution.
