Space. Space About the role You will shape the gas storage strategy for the Terran R reusable rocket, covering both immediate needs and future development. This position sits within the Stage Fluids team, where you will own the full lifecycle of composite overwrapped pressure vessels from design through flight. Working on-site at the factory keeps you close to hardware for fast iteration between design and manufacturing. Key facts

Collaborate with external vendors on COPV design and analysis
Work alongside thermo-fluid engineers to develop vehicle gas system architecture and operations
Define and run qualification and acceptance test campaigns for pressure vessels
Execute tests and analyze resulting data
Support COPV integration onto the rocket
Evaluate, select, and manage supplier relationships
Conduct trade studies to improve gas storage approaches for upcoming vehicles
Plan long-term COPV design and manufacturing direction Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field - 5+ years of relevant technical experience
Background in pressure vessel engineering principles
Hands-on knowledge of fluid and mechanical system design and operation Nice to have
Prior work with COPVs or other composite structures
Experience in fast-moving development settings with high autonomy
Familiarity with CAD software
Background with launch vehicle systems Skills & tools

Hiring range: $132,000 to $198,000 USD; leveling varies by experience (Engineer II: $104,000 to $143,000; Senior Engineer: $148,500 to $181,500; Staff Engineer: $164,000 to $225,500)
