Senior Avionics Systems Test Engineer, Operations
Job description
Space.
About the role
You will own the end to end verification of avionics hardware for the Terran R rocket through rigorous testing and analysis. In this role, you define testing strategies that ensure flight system reliability from individual components to the fully integrated vehicle. You serve as the primary engineer responsible for system level integration, validation, testing, and operational support. You will manage complex test activities focused on power systems, fault isolation, vehicle networking, and software performance verification. You will create vehicle level concepts of operations, operator manuals, system automation procedures, and definitive go no go criteria for testing phases. You will assist in the construction and operation of integrated avionics testbeds that support high fidelity testing environments. You will conduct detailed data reviews and provide expert on console support during launch and stage level testing campaigns. This position requires strong ownership, cross functional collaboration, and meticulous attention to safety and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Key facts
