About the role
We are hiring an experienced developer to support a global initiative focused on OpenText Exstream architecture. You will manage the full lifecycle of document generation solutions while working within a distributed international team. In this capacity, you will act as a technical specialist responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex document workflows that meet strict business requirements. Your daily work will involve collaborating with stakeholders across different time zones to ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will be the primary owner of the codebase, driving best practices in version control, code reviews, and documentation to ensure long-term maintainability. This role requires a proactive mindset, as you will identify opportunities for optimization and contribute to the improvement of existing templates and components. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting production issues, providing rapid resolutions and detailed analysis to minimize business impact. Overall, you will be a critical contributor to the reliability and efficiency of our document generation ecosystem.

What you'll do
Architect and develop new document generation solutions using OpenText Exstream, ensuring they adhere to enterprise standards and performance benchmarks.
Lead the configuration and deployment of complex templates within the OpenText Exstream environment, translating business rules into executable logic.
Perform detailed analysis of requirements to define the technical approach for document assembly, data integration, and output formatting.
Implement robust data mapping strategies that connect diverse data sources with Exstream components, ensuring accuracy and consistency in generated documents.
Optimize existing document workflows to improve execution speed, reduce resource consumption, and enhance overall system responsiveness.
Collaborate with QA teams to design test scenarios, validate document outputs, and verify that solutions meet functional and compliance criteria.
Troubleshoot production incidents by diagnosing template errors, data issues, and system failures, and applying corrective actions swiftly.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all solutions, including design decisions, configuration details, and operational procedures.
Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to elevate the technical capabilities of the team and ensure adherence to best practices.
Support the continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, automating build and deployment processes for Exstream artifacts.
Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for enhancements that improve scalability and maintainability.
Engage with business analysts and domain experts to clarify requirements, identify risks, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals.
Contribute to the governance of document standards, ensuring that templates are reusable, maintainable, and compliant with organizational policies.
Act as a subject matter expert for Exstream-related technologies, providing guidance and mentorship to cross-functional team members.
Requirements
You must possess a minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of application design and delivery.
You need to have at least 7 years of hands-on experience working directly with OpenText Exstream and OpenText Exstream Cloud Native, with a proven track record of successful implementations.
You are required to have a solid background in Linux application deployment, including the ability to manage environments and resolve deployment-related issues.
You must be proficient in Perl scripting, with the ability to write complex scripts that integrate with larger systems.
You should have a strong knowledge of XML structures, including validation, transformation, and integration within document workflows.
You are expected to have practical experience with the complete software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance.
You need to have hands-on experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, including participation in ceremonies and iterative delivery.
You must hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a combination of equivalent training and professional work history that demonstrates comparable expertise.
You are required to have C1 level English proficiency, enabling clear communication in written and verbal interactions with international stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience with cloud-native deployment models and containerized environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling.
Knowledge of related enterprise document management systems.
