You will own the end-to-end technical solution for the cloud cell, acting as the technical conductor for complex cloud initiatives. You will translate ambiguous business challenges into concrete cloud and data strategies while mentoring team members and safeguarding project delivery standards. The position requires balancing technical decision-making with people leadership, ensuring that both the solution design and the team evolve under your guidance. You will serve as the primary technical advocate for the client, ensuring their strategic objectives are met through robust cloud implementations. This is not a purely managerial position; it is a hands-on leadership role where technical depth directly influences project outcomes. You will continuously identify growth opportunities within existing client portfolios and champion the adoption of best practices across the team.

What you'll do
Orchestrate the end-to-end technical solution for the cloud cell, defining architecture, making critical technical decisions, and ensuring delivery quality.
Assume end-to-end responsibility for project scope, timelines, and costs, ensuring alignment with client and organizational expectations.
Coordinate the activities of multidisciplinary professionals, monitor progress in real time, and remove barriers that hinder team efficiency.
Serve as the principal technical contact for the client, maintaining trust and clarity in all interactions.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable cloud and data solutions that leverage modern AWS services.
Manage evolving project risks, scope changes, and shifting priorities while keeping the delivery on track.
Mentor team members through continuous technical coaching, fostering a culture of learning and mastery.
Accompany team members in their AWS certification journeys, providing support and guidance to reinforce technical credibility.
Identify and propose new growth opportunities within existing client accounts, driving expansion and long-term value.
Participate actively in pre-sales activities, including technical assessments, estimates, and the development of compelling proposals.
Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders, escalating strategically and aligning with management and executive levels.
Apply expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, and Organizations to design resilient infrastructures.
Design and implement serverless architectures, microservices, and containerized solutions that operate reliably in production environments.
Utilize data and analytics technologies including data pipelines, data governance, Glue, Athena, and Redshift to enable informed decision-making.
Requirements
You must possess between 5 and 8 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS in live production environments.
You must bring between 3 and 5 years of proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and managing projects with full accountability for scope, schedule, and budget.
You must have a track record of working directly with clients and stakeholders at the managerial and executive levels, navigating complex organizational dynamics.
You must demonstrate deep and practical knowledge of core AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, and Organizations.
You must have real-world experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and container orchestration in demanding production settings.
You must be fluent in data and analytics concepts, having worked with data pipelines, data governance, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon Redshift.
You must be proficient in CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
You must understand cloud security, compliance frameworks, and FinOps principles, including cost optimization and governance.
You must be familiar with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and strategies for planning and executing cloud migrations.
You must have experience with generative AI and machine learning services on AWS, such as Bedrock, SageMaker, RAG implementations, and agent-based systems.
You must have experience working within agile environments, with a strong background in Scrum methodologies and iterative delivery.
You must possess advanced English language skills (B2/C1 level) to communicate effectively with international clients and distributed teams.
Practical notes
The working schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 9 to 19, in Ciudad de Mexico.
The engagement is fully onsite, requiring physical presence in the office.
