Reddit is seeking a Staff Product Manager to spearhead the product strategy for Ads Trust & Safety. In this role, you will architect and scale the next generation of systems across ad review, advertiser trust, fraud prevention, and platform safeguards. The Ads Trust & Safety team is the frontline guardian of Reddit's advertising ecosystem, ensuring it remains resilient, trusted, and secure as the business scales. Operating at the high-impact intersection of advertising, safety, automation, and operational excellence, the team handles everything from ad review and fraud prevention to policy enforcement and platform integrity. We partner closely with Engineering, Policy, Legal, Sales, Operations, Product Marketing, and the Reddit Consumer teams to build agile systems that adapt instantly to shifting advertiser needs, emerging abuse vectors, and evolving global regulations.
What you'll do
- Drive the product vision and long-term roadmap for Ads Trust & Safety, defining measurable outcomes across ad review, fraud prevention, advertiser trust, and platform quality.
- Translate complex safety and compliance requirements into clear product specifications that engineering teams can execute against with precision.
- Partner with Engineering to design resilient systems that scale safely as Reddit's advertising business grows and evolves.
- Collaborate with Policy and Legal to interpret global regulations and translate them into operational product rules and workflows.
- Work with Sales and Account Management to surface advertiser needs and convert safety constraints into differentiated trust signals for revenue growth.
- Define and monitor core safety metrics, establishing baselines, targets, and dashboards to track progress and inform trade-offs.
- Coordinate closely with Operations to streamline review workflows, improve throughput, and maintain consistent policy enforcement.
- Lead cross-functional prioritization sessions, making explicit trade-off decisions that balance advertiser experience, user safety, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Product Marketing to shape external narratives around Reddit's advertising safety capabilities and build market confidence.
- Act as the primary product owner for key safety features, overseeing delivery, validating results, and iterating based on real-world performance data.
- Build and mentor a product thinking culture within Ads Trust & Safety, elevating the team's ability to solve ambiguous problems with structured rigor.
- Liaise with Reddit Consumer teams to ensure alignment between advertising safeguards and the broader user experience.
- Maintain awareness of emerging fraud vectors and abuse tactics, proactively recommending product updates to mitigate risk.
- Own end-to-end product ownership, from discovery and requirements through execution, launch, and post-launch optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of product management experience, with a demonstrated history of owning complex, high-impact products.
- 3+ years of experience in ads, fraud prevention, safety, risk systems, or compliance-focused product roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in translating regulatory and policy requirements into scalable product solutions.
- Strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional judgment around balancing advertiser growth with user safety and operational constraints.
- Experience building and mentoring product teams, influencing without direct authority.
- Comfort operating at the intersection of advertising, safety, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in trust and safety or content moderation product roles.
- Background in fraud detection, prevention systems, or risk analytics.
- Familiarity with global advertising regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working with Sales and Account Management teams in enterprise or platform environments.
