Key facts
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage for our software applications.
- Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and create effective test strategies that align with project goals.
- Write and execute test cases, both manual and automated, to validate functionality, performance, and security of applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard tools, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with the development team.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality code standards within the testing framework.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
- Develop performance and load testing scripts to assess application scalability and responsiveness under various conditions.
- Mentor junior team members in testing methodologies, automation tools, and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in testing tools and technologies, and recommend improvements to existing processes.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless deployment and release cycles.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, helping to drive informed decision-making regarding product quality.
- Assist in the creation of documentation for testing processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure clarity and consistency across the team.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation and test framework development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and experience in managing code repositories.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile development environments, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments and services, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
