What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage for our software applications.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and create effective test strategies that align with project goals.
• Write and execute test cases, both manual and automated, to validate functionality, performance, and security of applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard tools, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with the development team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality code standards within the testing framework.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
• Develop performance and load testing scripts to assess application scalability and responsiveness under various conditions.
• Mentor junior team members in testing methodologies, automation tools, and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in testing tools and technologies, and recommend improvements to existing processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless deployment and release cycles.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, helping to drive informed decision-making regarding product quality.
• Assist in the creation of documentation for testing processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure clarity and consistency across the team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation and test framework development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and experience in managing code repositories.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile development environments, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments and services, particularly AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Understanding of security testing practices and tools to ensure application safety and compliance.
• Previous experience in a DevOps role or familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
