What you'll do

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define testing strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software functionality meets specified requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with the development team.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing, to validate software quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality-related aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• Utilize automated testing tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage, while also maintaining manual testing practices where necessary.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks.
• Continuously stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance, sharing insights with the team to foster a culture of quality.
• Mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge in quality assurance.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and process documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring quality is maintained throughout the software development process.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum practices.
• Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, as well as documenting defects and test results.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify potential issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile application testing and familiarity with mobile testing tools.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Previous experience in a consulting role or working with clients directly.
• Understanding of security testing principles and practices.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to document processes clearly.
