What you'll do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for quantum chips.
- Conduct experiments to evaluate and refine process parameters, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to specifications.
- Analyze data from production runs to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and experimental results to ensure compliance and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Utilize statistical process control methodologies to monitor and control manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent quality.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
- Participate in the development and execution of process validation protocols to ensure processes meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Work closely with equipment engineers to optimize the performance and reliability of manufacturing tools used in the production of quantum chips.
- Support the scale-up of processes from laboratory to production, ensuring that they are robust and scalable.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in semiconductor technology and quantum computing to inform process development strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, including photolithography, etching, and deposition methods.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including statistical software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies and best practices in manufacturing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience with quantum device fabrication or related research experience in quantum computing.
- Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and safety regulations associated with semiconductor manufacturing.
- Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE) methodologies to enhance process optimization.
- Previous experience in a start-up environment or fast-paced technology company.

- Proficient in using CAD software for designing process flows and layouts.
