What you'll do
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate the performance and reliability of quantum computing systems.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to identify critical failure points and develop strategies for mitigation.

- Develop and refine testing protocols to ensure they align with industry standards and best practices in quantum technology.
- Lead root cause analysis for failures, utilizing statistical methods and data analysis techniques to drive insights.
- Participate in the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.
- Work closely with product development teams to ensure that test requirements are integrated into the product lifecycle from the outset.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in quantum computing and testing methodologies to inform best practices within the team.
- Document all testing procedures and results, maintaining a comprehensive database of test cases and outcomes for future reference.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in testing, failure analysis, or applications engineering, preferably within the semiconductor or quantum computing industries.
- Strong understanding of quantum computing principles and technologies, with a proven track record of applying this knowledge in a practical setting.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies, including experience with data analysis software such as MATLAB or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively when addressing complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, demonstrating a commitment to improving testing efficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
