What you'll do

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate the performance and reliability of quantum computing systems.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to identify critical failure points and develop strategies for mitigation.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations for improvements.
• Develop and refine testing protocols to ensure they align with industry standards and best practices in quantum technology.
• Lead root cause analysis for failures, utilizing statistical methods and data analysis techniques to drive insights.
• Participate in the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.
• Work closely with product development teams to ensure that test requirements are integrated into the product lifecycle from the outset.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in testing, failure analysis, or applications engineering, preferably within the semiconductor or quantum computing industries.
• Strong understanding of quantum computing principles and technologies, with a proven track record of applying this knowledge in a practical setting.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies, including experience with data analysis software such as MATLAB or Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively when addressing complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, demonstrating a commitment to improving testing efficiency.
