What you'll do

• Lead the development and implementation of custom Shopify themes and applications, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and project managers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize existing Shopify stores for performance, scalability, and user experience, employing best practices in web development.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and updates in the Shopify ecosystem, integrating new features and functionalities as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with third-party services to enhance the functionality of Shopify stores.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience for customers.
• Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications to maintain clear communication within the team and with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with a strong focus on Shopify development (minimum 4 years preferred).
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Strong backend development skills with experience in Ruby on Rails or Node.js, particularly in the context of Shopify applications.
• Familiarity with Shopify Liquid templating language and the Shopify API for custom app development.
• Experience in database management, particularly with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git, and experience with collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for e-commerce and a desire to stay ahead of industry trends and technologies.

• Experience with headless commerce solutions and integrating Shopify with other platforms.
