This role owns the analysis of expansion initiatives that define how we enter new markets and serve new customer segments. You will partner directly with Expansion leadership to evaluate strategic bets, model market opportunities, and build the business cases that guide major transformation programs. Your work will drive how we prioritize cross-functional performance analyses and surface the key drivers behind new-market success or pivot decisions. You will construct analytical models that quantify upside and risk for every strategic option under consideration. Through your insights, you will enable leaders to make informed decisions that unlock growth and deliver measurable business impact at scale. Every analysis you own will directly support our human-led, tech-enabled approach to creating life-changing learning experiences around the world.

What you'll do
- Partner with Expansion leadership on major transformation initiatives that define our value proposition, business model, customer experience, monetization strategy, and operational playbook for new geographies, segments, and product lines.
- Evaluate and prioritize new market entries, customer segments, and strategic bets through rigorous market sizing, competitive benchmarking, and in-depth customer analysis.
- Run focused, data-driven deep dives into expansion-stage customer behavior, unit economics, funnel performance, and competitive dynamics to identify where to double down and where to pivot.
- Lead cross-functional performance analyses across Expansion workstreams, explaining trends and drivers behind new-market KPIs while delivering clear, actionable insights to the executive team.
- Build analytical models that underpin Expansion decisions, including market sizing and TAM/SAM/SOM models, ramp and forecasting models for new launches, and scenario models to pressure-test strategic options.
- Develop financial models that quantify the upside and downside of each strategic bet, translating complex assumptions into clear narratives and data-backed recommendations.
- Synthesize large and complex data sets into concise stories that guide leadership decisions and align stakeholders around a common understanding of expansion opportunities.
- Define and track core metrics and guardrails for new-market launches, ensuring visibility into performance against targets and early signals of risk or underperformance.
- Act as the analytical owner for cross-functional projects, coordinating inputs from product, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure rigorous analysis and timely delivery.
- Champion a culture of evidence-based decision-making by embedding robust data checks, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning into every major expansion discussion.
- Identify gaps in data coverage or tooling and collaborate with technical partners to improve data infrastructure, quality, and accessibility for Expansion initiatives.
- Continuously challenge assumptions by investigating discrepancies in performance, testing hypotheses, and uncovering opportunities to optimize customer experience and unit economics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics, product analytics, consulting, or a related analytical role with a track record of delivering impact in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of influencing leadership-level stakeholders through clear narratives and compelling visual presentations.
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI to extract, transform, and present data effectively.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a drive to investigate discrepancies, ask the right questions, and identify meaningful opportunities for improvement.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable narratives that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a rigorous, structured approach to analysis, ensuring that insights are reliable, reproducible, and well documented.
- Proven Excel or Google Sheets modeling skills, including driver-based modeling, sensitivity analysis, and financial impact estimation for strategic decisions.
- Experience leading cross-functional analytics projects and engaging diverse stakeholders, including product, finance, marketing, and operations teams.
- Comfort working with ambiguous problems and making progress with incomplete information while maintaining ownership of analysis quality and timelines.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with technical teams to translate business questions into analytical requirements and ensure that data models support robust decision-making.
- Fluency in English is required to engage with global stakeholders and contribute to analyses that influence international expansion strategy.
- Located in Barcelona or willing to relocate to Barcelona as this role is based in our Barcelona Hub.

- Experience in corporate strategy or strategic consulting, with a track record of supporting senior leadership on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in fast-growing, data-driven startups, marketplaces, or subscription businesses where rapid experimentation and learning are core to growth.
- Hands-on experience with Looker and Snowflake, enabling deeper dives into large data sets and more advanced modeling of expansion scenarios.
Practical notes
This is a full-time role based in Barcelona. We offer an attractive relocation package for candidates not currently located in Barcelona.
